What are some really fun recipes for kids?

I want some fun recipes for kids not from kraft I have used most of them

I like chocolate covered pretzels. Take almond bark, your favorite flavor, melt it in double boiler. If you don't have a double boiler, you can use a pot with water, place a glass or metal bowl or another pot on top, making sure it doesn't touch the water. Once it is melted, take pretzels, using a fork or spoon, and let the kids dip the pretzel into the cholocate.

I also like to make ants on a log, peanut butter in celery with raisins.

What is the best way to learn how to cook?

My boyfriend can barely boil water. I'm not kidding. :)
Do you know of any basic cooking books? Would taking a class help?
I love to cook, but would rather not have to do it every night!
Thank you…

Watch the food network. They actually have a show called, "How to boil water!" And people like Rachael Ray usually show some basic techniques (and she always has stuff done in under 30 min). You might get started with the four ingredient cookbook, or the good old Betty Crocker staple. But watching cooking shows is a great idea, because that way you can actually see what goes into a recipe, and see what they mean when they say things like saute, puree, mince, etc. It's hard sometimes to look at a recipe and really know how difficult it is and how long it will take, but if you've seen someone do it you have a much better idea! And every recipe they cook on tv, you can find online! Good luck.

im a kid and i want to learn how to cook?

IM 12 and for some reason i want to cook i want people to tastemy food and love it. does any1 have easy healthy recipes that dont have a ton of ingredient hope u guys can help maybe its a stage im going thru lol

At your age, one thing I wanted to try making macaroni and cheese. My mom gave me some instructions and went to the bathroom. I started, and then went banging on the door crying. I couldn't figure out how to get the cheese sauce into all the little holes in the pasta. Mom died laughing… cause I didn't realize the cheese, as it melted would flow into all those holes.

Below are some websites that tell you how to make what Bisquick callse "Impossible pies". What I like about these recipes is that they are so simple. You chop up solids, including cheese in most cases, and put them into a pie dish. You mix bixquick, milk, eggs, salt & pepper and pour it over the solids. Bake and you have a Quiche or without cheese, a desert pie. They call them Impossible Pies because they surprise you. They make their own crust.

They are easy to do…. quick… and make either a main dish for a meal, or a dessert. I'll post some links below to Impossible Pie recipes online.

When I was a working mother, I needed quick and simple.
My quick and simple spagetti sauce recipe is:
3-4 stalks of celery, chopped
1 med. onion chopped
1# ground beef
Sautee all three together till meat is no longer pink. Then add:
1TB parsley
2TB basil
2 tsp garlic
Sautee a bit longer, and then add:
1 jar Spaghetti Sauce
1 can stewed tomatoes
1 can tomato sauce (optional)
Simmer on lowest heat for 1-3 hours if you can.

Boil spaghetti till just soft… probably about 15 min and drain in strainer or collander.

It's a quickie version of spaghetti sauce that tastes much better then just store bought sauce and is very meaty.

If you're an avid reader, a neat book is "The something went wrong, what do I do now, cookbook" It gives recipes and tells how to fix disasters.
