This is so easy and good.

Parmesan-Dijon Chicken

1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
3/4 cup Progresso® dry bread crumbs (any flavor)
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
6 boneless skinless chicken breast halves (1 3/4 pounds)

Total Time: 30 min 1. Heat oven to 375ºF. Mix butter and mustard in shallow dish until well mixed. Mix bread crumbs and cheese in large plastic bag.
2. Dip one piece of chicken at a time into butter mixture, coating all sides. Then place in bag of bread crumbs, seal bag and shake to coat with crumb mixture. Place chicken in single layer in ungreased rectangular pan, 13x9x2 inches.
3. Bake uncovered 20 to 30 minutes, turning once, until juice of chicken is no longer pink when centers of thickest pieces are cut.

or …This is fun to layer. If you use sauce with the herbs and spices you like, you can leave out the ones in the recipe.

Easy Lasagna Recipe
Ingredients
1-1/2 cups (12 ounces) 4% cottage cheese
1 egg
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley or 1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon dried basil
9 lasagna noodles, cooked, rinsed and drained
4 cups Three-Meat Sauce
2 cups (8 ounces) shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
Directions
In a large bowl, combine the cottage cheese, egg, Parmesan cheese, parsley, oregano and basil. In a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish, layer a third of the noodles, meat sauce, cottage cheese mixture and mozzarella. Repeat layers twice.
Cover and bake at 350° for 30 minutes; uncover and bake 15-20 minutes longer or until bubbly. Let stand for 15 minutes before cutting. Yield: 12 servings.

Editor’s Note: 1 pound of browned ground beef and one 26-1/2 ounce can of spaghetti sauce may be substituted for the Three-Meat Sauce.

For a quick snack: Tortilla pizza. Take a tortilla and add any pizza type toppings your like. Heat and serve.

what is the role of the child care worker when cooking with children aged 4- 7 ?

To make sure they are well done before serving? (Sorry, irrestible)

With that young of children, absolute responsibility. The child care worker should be there and doing almost everything but explaining to the kids what they are doing. Its fine to have the kids mixing and measuring but anything involving stove, knives or high temperatures should be handled by the child care worker, not the kids.

What is the best freezer to oven cookbook?

I’m looking for a healthy, kid friendly, not too complicated recipe book so I can fix, freeze and pop in the oven. I’ve seen a lot of books out there, but does anyone have any recommendations?

any one have any ideas for free software for layout for cookbook?

I am new to computers and would like to make a cookbook for my kids for christmas. I have windows xp and microsoft office 2000 on my computer. do I already have something I could use or is there a free down load maybe for the lay out for a cook book. I would like it to look kind of proffesional and not just home made thanks for any help

May I suggest that you visit the page at the link provided below?

Serif PagePlus is an excellent DTP Software that gives you a gamut of templates which you can use for designing your Cook Book.

You might find the PhotoPlus worth downloading too, because this will help you work on the photos that you might want to incorporate there.

Hope this helps.

All the best.

Cheers

What are some recipes that kids can make?

I would like my daughter to start cooking dinner once a week, so she can learn some cooking skills. What are some kid friendly dinner recipes?

Start her out with spaghetti, mac and cheese, maybe hamburgers or meatloaf? Learning to bake a cake from a mix? Anything that really needs to be fried or saute’d probably aren’t good starters. Help her with draining pasta or lifting pans off the stove full of boiling water. You don’t mention how old your daughter is.. maybe she should start out helping you make things, let her mix, add ingredients, learn to chop vegetables and peal potatoes.

Here’s a few links for some online kids cooking cookbooks.
