These games are becoming a popular source of enjoyment and learning for kids. Many types of such games are available on the internet. Many are free of cost. There was a time when people couldn’t think beyond the conventional games or toys which were really expensive and did not lasted for a long time. The online games are easy to play and free of charge. Kids can find a variety of these on the net by themselves without any guidance. Most of the children like cooking and they may spoil something or endanger themselves unless there is someone who teaches them correctly. For more details www.thanks-giving-recipes.com These games do this job of helping kids learn what they want. There are games which show how to prepare the breakfast in a particular sequence so that the kids understand and can remember. Kids can learn how to make a cheese sandwich in an easy process that shows preparing slices of bread and then crating the cheese and sprinkling black pepper and salt to it. The kids can also help their parents in cooking meals if not preparing the meal.
All this can be done while playing. If you wish to teach your kids something why not do it by the means of games since games are the best options to pour something into their growing minds. Some parents are worried that their children don’t eat some foods for example milk. They could easily make their kids drink or eat food items by the help of these games. The role of nutrients in the meal is very important and kids could be explained this by the means of games. These are so informative and suggestive that children can easily play, understand and then perform the same themselves. One can start cooking in the kitchen and the game on the computer simultaneously in order to give the child a practical idea of the game. Generally the girls are more interested in cooking and hence these are more popular among the girls. For more details www.camping-outdoors-recipes.com It is a fun filled activity that involves learning and repetition. The young minds are innovative and they should be trained to get some creative outputs from them. Several questions arise in the mind that how to find these games, or where to find them? These are easily accessible and free of charge. There is a list of recipes to search for. One should find a recipe that is suitable according to the child’s age and get started.
Many people share their views and ideas about cooking including recipes for the convenience of others. Another doubt that keeps us confused is the language barrier. In reply to this, I suggest that these games are often in Asian languages but they are so informative due to the graphics involved that language doesn’t remain a barrier in the end. These games are easily downloaded and installed and hence it saves time. You can’t judge the fun involved in mountain climbing unless you climb the mountain yourself. So start playing and cooking.

Ever been out on one of those snowy days trying to clean up plenty of snow from the car top or with the kids wanting fun with the snow when the cold traveled right through to the fingers through a wet pair of gloves? Most of us have experienced this situation several times. But with Carhartt Insulated Gloves, your fingers would have been warm and toasty with the moisture remaining on the outer skin, where it belongs. The Carhartt Insulated Gloves are crafted to meet the most demanding conditions of snow and you will have a wide range to choose from in terms of style, price etc.
Frost bite
The harsh winter days and nights can pose a major threat to your fingers and need to be perfectly covered with appropriate gloves. Frozen fingers and frostbites are not fun stuff and you certainly want to keep them away. The Carhartt Insulated Gloves understand this well enough and whether you are shopping for men’s gloves or ladies, or even children, the wide range of Carhartt Insulated Gloves will hold the right pair for every one.
Moisture and leather
At this point, you may have this question uppermost in your mind. Won’t the leather on the Carhartt Insulated Gloves be ruined by the snow? The answer is no. The outer layer of the Carhartt Insulated Gloves are treated with appropriate waterproofing compounds so that no damaged is caused even with extended use. However, if you happen to leave them soaked in ice cold water for long durations, some of the water proof property may get eroded. Should such a situation arise, you can also buy and apply the waterproofing material to bring your gloves back to prime state. When you repeat the process a few times over the winter season, your Carhartt Insulated Gloves can last long, really long.
Extra pairs
Some people look for two or more pairs of the same type of Carhartt Insulated Gloves at the same time. The smart thinking behind this is that they put aside the additional pairs so that in case they end up loosing one glove from the pair in use, they can immediately replace from the reserve pair. Carhartt Insulated Gloves understands this thinking and you will have no difficulty picking up any number of pairs from a given selection.
Comfortable for driving
For driving, the best type of gloves is leather gloves alone. While dry fabric gloves may help your hands remain warm when you put your palm on the steering wheel, the leather gloves can repel cold better particularly with insulated gloves such as Carhartt Insulated Gloves. Leather also provides extraordinary grip on the steering wheel even in difficult conditions. The fabric gloves may be inexpensive in the beginning, but when you consider the life of Carhartt Insulated Gloves, the additional expense will be well justified.
Great Gift
The fine Carhartt Insulated Gloves are also a fine gift idea. A few pairs kept within reach would come in very handy particularly when you have one of those unexpected reasons cropping up, or even during the busy Christmas season.

Due to the tempting foods which are produced nowadays our kids get to be overweight and even obese as time goes by. After that in the blood the level of cholesterol will increase and will cause a lot of problems to the children now or during adulthood.
All these inconvenients can be resolved if the child looses some weight by keeping an active lifestyle and a proper diet. As parents it is our responsibility to take care of them meaning that we must make sure that they eat healthy food, not junks and they understand why it is necessary to give up their old eating habits.
Children need an example in order to understand and follow a right diet. If you keep a healthy diet and so does the whole family then the child will surely adopt this diet too.
When cooking you must take care to prepare a variety of foods in order to achieve all the needed vitamins for your body.
For example at breakfast which is considered to be the most important meal of the day you can serve cereals and whole grain breads. Yoghurts and cheese are recommended along with fruits. Fruit juice is good but a whole fruit is better as it contains more fiber.
At lunch you can prepare a sandwich out of whole grain bread or rolls. Also make a soup and stew. Do not forget about the fresh fruit after the meal.
When preparing a sandwich be sure to use low fat meats, like chicken or turkey. Also add a salad, and fat free sour cream as a dressing. Another type of sandwich is that stuffed with vegetables, low fat cheese and chicken leftovers. A tuna salad is great. You can cut onion, green peppers, carrots and celery and add it along with low fat mayonnaise and then add the tuna. When preparing a turkey sandwich in order to make it tastier mix cranberry sauce and fat-free mayonnaise and add it to the sandwich. For those who miss childhood put peanut butter and old fruit jelly on two slices of bread. Rye bread can be served with low fat cheese and slices of ham along with honey mustard. You can always add tomato slices too all kinds of sandwiches in order to make them tastier.
Children love diversity in foods and love taking a snack between the meals. Try different combinations of fruits and vegetables and you will see you child will be happy. Try combining fruits like cranberries, strawberries, pineapple chunks and raisins into yoghurt. Another successful combination is apple slices with peanut butter or apple juice and bananas.
From the vegetables you can pick carrot sticks, backed potato with cheese, and celery stick with peanut butter.
All the products that you use must be fat free: the mayonnaise, the cheese and even the yoghurt.
As a desert you can serve frozen yoghurt with fruits, sorbet and sherbet and juice bars. Other attractions for the little ones are rice cookies, sunflower seeds, roasted peanuts, and low fat pita chips.

If you are as busy as most people you are always looking for ways to feed your family in convenient, fast, yet not-too-expensive ways. Try the following suggestions:
1. Cooking several meals for the week at one time. It may take a few hours of your time up front but will pay off in the long run when you come home each evening and have a meal ready to eat in a short amount of time. Like www.classic-dessert-collection.com. Try cooking a roast and using part of it as a main meal and then using some for sandwiches, beef stroganoff or as part of a stir-fry. Fry several pounds of hamburger and make a casserole, taco meat and chili to freeze for use later in the week.
2. After you return home from the grocery store clean all the fruits and vegetables you can. When it’s time for a meal all you will have to do is cook them or add them to a salad or soup.
3. Get ideas from the cooking shows on T.V. There are great shows that show you how to make a healthy meal in a short time.
4. Develop a revolving recipe file. If you get bogged down by the idea of having to plan 30 meals a month the recipe file is for you. Let family members choose some of their favorites and put the recipes in a monthly file. Flip to day five or fifteen and there is the meal just waiting to be cooked.
5. Enlist the help of the members of your family. As soon as the kids are old enough divide up the cooking responsibilities. Let everyone take turns with specific tasks or the whole meal. Pair these meals with fruit and veggies that have already been washed and cut-up and you are ready for dinner.
6. Share the cooking with friends or neighbors. I’ve known people who cook four or five of the same meal and then trade with four or five other people. This works best when people share the same basic ideas on what they like and don’t like. It’s a great idea though for a very easy week of evening meals.
7. Save coupons for those convenience things at the grocery store. They have entire entrees and dinners either fresh or frozen. Sometimes they are rather pricy but with the coupons they are good to have on hand for an evening when everyone is running in different directions and time is of the essence.
8. Its O.K. to eat out from time to time. Clip coupons for these occasions and if you have kids keep a look-out for the places that have special prices for children. Some of the fast-food restaurants are trying to offer item choices that are a little healthier.
9. Many larger cities have businesses that prepare food for the evening meal. They seem expensive at first but are so convenient and available for one person or entire families. There are many menu choices and meals cooked for special diets. Go to www.bread-machine-cookbook.com. When you calculate the groceries you buy and the times you eat out each week, this may work for you.
10. Combine several of the above ideas into a plan that is best for you.
It is possible with a little planning to cook meals that are quick and easy without spending hours in the kitchen every day.

Most of us have come to realize that today’s society is based on convenience. Our lifestyles have become so demanding and hectic that we rely on anything that will make our lives easier. We look for convenience in everything we do, whatever will help get us through our workday and busy evenings and weekends.
Food is a perfect example, fast food, prepared food and food that is easy and quick to prepare are all things that were created for our “convenience”. Are we sacrificing our health for convenience? For more help visit to: www.atkins-diets-recipes.com.Perhaps we are, convenience food is not always the healthiest choice we make. Most prepared food has a high fat content and an even higher level of sodium, two of the worst things we can do to our bodies.
I saw a fast food chain commercial on TV the other night and the premise was that it challenged a family to shop at a grocery store for the same items in the fast food chains’ meal deal for the same dollar amount they charge for the meal deal. Of course the family was coming out cheaper with the restaurant meal and, of course, the grocery store didn’t have the restaurants’ secret ingredients necessary to make the meal (imagine that!). I’ll save my tangent about truth in advertising for another article!
What I kept asking myself was, what about the benefits of cooking and eating at home? It’s great that the family was actually shopping together and sure, the children were learning some basic math skills but how about teaching them about eating healthy and cooking skills that they could carry into their adult life?
Back to the basics of life, cooking and baking at home. Spending time with the family in the comfort of your own kitchen making your own meal and I don’t mean pouring a prepackaged box of something into a casserole dish, I mean making the casserole from scratch or maybe even making a Meatloaf. Meatloaf is a pretty easy dish to make and there is probably some task that you’ve been putting off that you can take care of while the Meatloaf bakes for an hour. Maybe even help the kids with their homework, a school project or just spending time with the family as a whole. If your children are old enough, you can have them help you prepare the meal, teach them how to cook and help prepare them for life on their own.
Cooking from scratch is a wonderful thing and it can definitely be a family affair! There are an infinite number of cookbooks available. For more detail go to:www.cooking-groundbeef.com.Everything from organic cooking, diabetic cookbooks, vegetarian, kid’s menus, and low crab as well as decadent desserts, chocolate lovers, gourmet, and the list goes on and on.
The beauty of all this is that you can still keep technology in the mix with going back to the kitchen with ebook cookbooks. Ebook cookbooks are digital cookbooks that you can download in the blink of an eye or the click of a mouse. You can burn the ebooks onto a CD and most CD’s will hold a few books so you can keep similar books on the same CD. CD’s take up much less space than bulky books and it’s very easy to find the recipe you’re looking for since the ebooks are indexed.
Whatever recipe you’re in the mood for, whether you’re entertaining friends, planning a holiday meal or just a quiet meal for two, it’s out there just let your fingers do the walking on the keyboard. Reintroduce yourself and the family to good, healthy home cooking, you won’t regret it!

I love strawberries. Much more, I love eating strawberry cakes. This craving for strawberry cake started when I was only four and started throwing tantrums over an ice cream. Dad would only shrug his shoulders with my crying but mom will surely find a way to make me smile. She led me on to the most off-limit area for children- the kitchen. My curiosity was aroused then when I smelled the sweet scent over the microwave oven. As she removes the piece of hot stuff, I saw a white bread with white icing on the top and butter cream frosting. The piece of a single strawberry on top makes it fresh and I can’t help myself drooling over the red and pink hues of the cake. That time, strawberry cakes become part of my culinary fantasies that I wish I could bake myself. But since I am still of young age, mother would only allow me to do cooking games with my own set of kitchen minis.
I found it sometimes boring and doll to make a make believe that I bake the strawberry cake out of the papers and leaves I used as ingredients. Mommy might have noticed it and the next day after my baking frustrations, she held me a box. I thought it will be my new set of utensils for my cooking games. To my dismay, the box has a gadget that seems like a calculator but only bigger. Mom said it was a computer.
I don’t want a computer. All I want is my own microwave oven, my bowls, and I know mom could also afford to buy me some ingredients. With dull look, I took the present and she went with me in my room trying to teach me how to use my new playmate. As she opens the program, I saw the same strawberry cake that mom used to bake for me! She said she will teach me how to bake the strawberry cake with online cooking games.
Though this might be new for me, I took the techie challenge. She helped me prepare for the necessary ingredients like the sliced strawberries, sugar, baking powder, milk, salt, margarine and whipped cream. I was amazed that I do not need to try hard with my imagination since I can see all of them with my won eyes!
Mom taught me to do the baking at the cooking games. Adding all the ingredients together to make a good mixture, I heated it to 350 degrees. Then I took the pan out of heat from the oven and place the cake to the kitchen table to do the decorating with whipped cream and strawberry toppings.
Cooking games of this type are so safe. By cooking virtually, you get to experience cooking with real items. Such was my memories of being a child. And I will also teach my kids how to make cakes with cooking games.

Some kids like to help you cook in the kitchen but they don’t understand the ingredients, especially the herbs. At first, a kid learning to cook is all about learning to follow directions and doing each step in order. They’re figuring out how to be organized and hopefully how to clean up after themselves. Along the way they also pick up what words like “sift” and “simmer” mean. Plus they learn skills like how to drain noodles through a colander or how to knead bread dough.
It seems like one of the last things they learn is how the ingredients all work together and when they can deviate from the recipe a little. An excellent way for your kids to experiment is with herbs. For more details please go to www.chef-123.com. Herbs can make a dish go from so-so to wonderful and if your chef learns about them when they’re young, there’s no telling what great meals they’ll cook for you through the years.
Here are some ideas for getting your kids to play with herbs:
1. Fresh mint is a wonderful herb for kids because it smells so good and there are many different things they can do with it. They can simply put a few sprigs in a glass of water, iced tea, or lemonade for a hint of mint taste. They can chop it up small and put it in their yogurt or ice cream, or include it in muffin batter. Probably the funniest for kids is to make mint ice cubes. They just put small leaves of mint into the ice cube tray, add water, and freeze.
Take your children to a plant nursery in spring and let them smell all the different kinds of mint. It’s a really easy herb to grow – but plant it in a pot because otherwise it will spread through your garden like crazy.
2. Your kids can make herb butter. Put 2 sticks of butter out in a bowl at room temperature to soften. Then add 1 teaspoon of lemon juice, cut up parsley, and some minced garlic cloves. Let the kids mash it all together and then stick it in the fridge. It can be cut into squares and served with warm bread or hot pasta.
The kids can experiment with other herbs in the butter if they smell like they go together and don’t have too strong a smell. You can also login on to www.cat-head-biscuit.com. Rosemary probably wouldn’t be a good candidate as it has a very strong smell.
3. A good place for rosemary is in bread dough, along with sage and parsley. Adding herbs to the bread dough and then kneading it is a fun hands-on experience for kids, and they really get the full effect of the herbs when the bread is baking because the smells are intensified. Ask your kids to tell you which of the herbs they smell from the baking bread.

Lots of families have a common problem. The little ones just don’t want to eat what’s good for them! But kids need the correct amount of nutrition every day, especially during those tender years when their bodies and minds are still growing and developing.
So what do you do to help ensure that your kids eat right? Well, there are ways around this conundrum and they’re fun and tasty too! You don’t have to resign yourself to your children thinking that french fries are the only veggie that tastes good. After all, we all know that a diet of french fries and coke won’t make health kids!
Be a Good Role Model – Children copy adult behavior so try to eat as healthy as possible whenever you’re doing so with your kids (and when you’re not as well). If they see you eating what’s good for you, they’ll want to take part too. Be sure both parents – Mom & Dad – are both involved in encouraging the kids in healthy eating.
Get them into the kitchen! Kids have a natural tendency to want to help and teaching them some simple, beginner cooking techniques will not only allow them to be involved, but will also spark their interest and get them excited about eating the nutritious food that they helped prepare!
Take them Shopping – Bringing the kids along on your regular grocery shopping trip is another great way to familiarize them with nutritional foods. By seeing all of the healthy items you’re choosing for the family first-hand, it will help get them become accustomed to what they should and will be eating. They may even make some healthy suggestions of their own!
Stocking the Shelves – When you get home, let the kids help put the groceries away. While they’re stocking items into the cabinets, they’ll check out all the packaging and you can talk to them about how good it all is and why. This will further help them achieve an understanding of the importance of the nutritional value in the foods they’re eating everyday.
Stand Your Ground – Sometimes when it comes down to it, you just have to bite your lip and tell your children they won’t get dessert if they don’t each their vegetables. You’re the parent, and you may have to make your child do what is best for them, even if they don’t want to.
Add Nutritional Supplements – Even if your children eat a very healthy diet, you should still give them quality nutritional supplements to ensure that they are getting the nutrition they need. You should at least give your kids a multi-vitamin, glyconutrients, and phytonutrients.
A balanced diet and a healthy eating plan will help your kids to grow up healthy and strong.
You can get your kids to eat right and with not as much effort as you think. It may just take a little creativity on your part. Combined with nutritional supplements, good exercise and such, healthy eating can ensure that your kids are healthy!

Meal times so easily become a battle field when we are cooking for little ones. We spend hours preparing a nutritious meal but it all ends in tears with a toddler tantrum at the tea table.
Are there any simple guidelines we can follow when cooking for little ones? I would say after many years of experience and many tantrums, mine as well as the kids, that it is possible to take some of the tension out of cooking for little ones.
My first rule when cooking for little ones is don’t cook. Or at least cook less. Children love raw foods and they are very healthy. Keep some cut up carrot sticks in the fridge. Washed, peeled and sliced into finger sized pieces they make an excellent snack. With a little houmous, or peanut butter maybe, they are extremely nutritious. Raw food really is good for children.
On the same principle why not try homemade smoothies. They can be prepared in advance and kept in the fridge. This is one of the simplest ways of getting children to eat fresh fruit and vegetables. You can also turn smoothies into a kind of ice pop by freezing them. They are lower in sugar than commercially available products.
A thing we easily forget when cooking for little ones is that they have small stomachs. They need to eat little and often. The large meals we habitually prepare for adults are just too much for children. They simply cannot wait four hours from one meal to another. You need to have lots of healthy food in small portions ready to hand.
When it comes to the main family meals the single biggest problem is vegetables. So many small children will not eat vegetables, especially green vegetables. The answer is to get creative. Sauces exist for a reason. Broccoli was surely made for garlic butter or cheese sauce.
Some people will object that children will not eat garlic. But if they are introduced to it slowly they will. It will soon become a favourite and it is very healthy. The same is true of cheeses. It is worth introducing children to variety of cheeses. They might not like them all but they will develop a taste for some. Cheese is a valuable source of calcium and vitamin D which are important to growth of strong bones and teeth.
It is important to introduce children to what we think of as “adult” tastes because that is the way to ensure that their diet is varied. You will also avoid the trap that so many parents fall into of having to cook two meals. One word of warning here: when cooking for little ones never add salt. Salt is very bad for babies and small children.
Many of the problems associated with cooking for little ones can be overcome by cooking with little ones rather than just cooking for little ones. That is to say let them help you in the kitchen. I know that will make twice as much work and twice as much mess, but it will be worth it in the long run. Cooking for little ones should be about introducing them to the world of food and encouraging a healthy relationship with food. It is better for a child to learn that a muffin is something you bake with care and love rather than something you grab in a hurry and eat without thinking. You can guarantee that the peas they have shelled themselves will be eaten and not left on the plate.
Even after we have done all these things there will still be time when the kids simply will not eat the meal you have lovingly prepared. This brings me to what is perhaps the golden rule when cooking for little ones. At this point you must resist the temptation to scream at them and throw dishes across the kitchen. Their refusal to eat is not a reflection on you or your cooking. They are only human and so are you. The best solution is to learn to make soup or keep some chickens in the backyard. They will always eat what you cook. Well, nearly always.
